Tiago Wood Floor started with a simple dream in a small garage in Connecticut: to transform homes through high-quality flooring.

Is the estimate free?
Yes. Tiago comes to your home, looks at the floor in person and gives you a free estimate with the price and schedule before any work begins. There's no pressure and no obligation.
What services do you offer?
Four: hardwood floor refinishing (sanding and refinishing), hardwood floor installation (solid and engineered), water-resistant vinyl floor installation, and floor repair — damaged boards, gaps, squeaks and water damage, blended in with the rest of the floor.
Can my old hardwood be refinished instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Solid hardwood can usually be sanded and refinished several times, and engineered floors can be too if the wear layer is thick enough. During the free estimate Tiago checks the boards and tells you honestly whether refinishing or replacing makes more sense.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the size of the area and the type of work — a single-room refinish is a very different job from a whole-house installation. You get the schedule together with your estimate, before work begins, and we deliver on time.
What areas do you serve?

Can I choose the stain color and sheen?
Absolutely. After sanding, we test stain samples right on your floor so you can see each color on your own wood and in your own light before deciding. We'll also walk you through the sheen options, from matte to gloss.
Hardwood or vinyl for a basement or kitchen?
Basements tend to be damp, so water-resistant vinyl is usually the safer choice there. Kitchens can go either way: vinyl handles spills and heavy traffic well, while hardwood gives you that classic look if you wipe up water quickly — Tiago can help you weigh it during the estimate.
How does the 15% discount work?

Do you speak Portuguese?
Yes — falamos português. We speak English and Portuguese, so you can go over your estimate and your project in whichever language you're most comfortable with.
